Wow, how do you afford all of this? We do die cast and LEGO and it can consume all of your space and life if you're not careful. In addition I have music gear all crammed into a 12x12 room. I ordered some of those Plano cases. I'm going to tilt mount them like you did but I'll probably place a piece of adhesive foam at the base so I don't have to make additional holes in the drywall.

8:14 thats because of all the federal safety regulations and engineering involved in crash safety regulation and airbags all over, as well as all the computer crap and other digital garbage fitted. people don't care about car performance anymore so they just put a shitty little engine in it and then load it up with $30,000 in electronics and phone garbage and airbags and there you go.

I grew up with both the Lesney matchbox cars and the HotWheels redline cars. The Matchbox cars of the mid and late 60's were for us kids who wanted realistic looking vehicles that we could create real world scenes with outside in the dirt under the tree. Roads were often made with cut down putty knives and we used the car carriers as buildings. The HotWheels on the other hand were for those kids who wanted to race them on the orange tracks. They often had "Garish" colors and the wheels of course were not realistic at all. So we usually snubbed those cars when making cities under the tree. We preferred the true Matchbox cars that looked much more similar to the cars we saw everyday. So yea there were 2 separate groups. I'm not saying one is better than the other but it's just the way it was at least where I grew up in Iowa.

Actually i expected a Volkswagen square back instead of the audi avant bcos the rest are square body wagons so this one looks kinda odd to me in this set even though it's a wagon..i expected a vintage kinda feeling in all five wagons..they should have given a Chevy nomad and a Volkswagen square back..😢😢

Nr 35 on that catalogue is not plastic the horse box,is all metal. The problem is,really difficult to find that door. Almost always missing.

That is not the proper catalogue. If you check the catalogue by Charlie mack,(2nd edition)there you will find wherever you need about matchbox . So they didn't change the vehicle and keep the number, Letter on they just kept the model after 70' but change the wheels to superfast. Not all of them. Is nice you save that playing models. Behind those models is a great story. I try to save as many i can find. Find 2nd edition 1953-1969 And you will have your answer about the regular wheels matchbox and if you like more info about buy 4th edition 1947-2001 also from Charlie mack. All the best from Uk

As awesome as your Hot Wheels collection is and I do enjoy seeing, these are fantastic. The older the Matchbox cars are the better they get, these are my absolute favorite to collect. I just rescued a Quarry truck last week from the flea market, It's missing some paint, but I just cannot help myself. Totally enjoyed this brother looking forward to the next episode.

50s models are usually the ones that are smaller, and just say “Lesney”, or “Lesney England”. Most do not have collector numbers on said car.

Matchbox just changed the model in the 75 series as the shop keeper wouldn't of been able to have the room if they just carried on with the numbers , so they kept it at 75 . That's why you have a 62 a, 62 b 62 c ect.

58:18 that price now would be $4.98. so you can see how hard they have to work to keep that price point viable. also that's wild that you bought and got ahold of the distro catalog, those are rare and hard to find. normally the catalogs you see are the retail ones everyone got
